On Gratefulness

I'm incredibly fortunate sitting here in my dining room, surrounded by books, drinking iced coffee even though it's cold outside, and with several extra pounds keeping me warm. I have spent the past couple years helping people to keep themselves alive and/or safe because I'm in the right mindset to do so. There's a really nice man that I'm spending my life with just in the other room and wow, he is spending the rest of his life with me too. Well, one of us is spending the rest of our lives with the other. Unless we both die at the same time. We sometimes say that when the dogs get sick or are close to dying, we'll all drive off a cliff together.

With my good fortune, I would die first as the car flies toward the earth,

and painlessly.
